Why can't I read a message I received?

I received a message from a member. When I click on the "1 new message" link it takes me to a screen. that shows who sent it and has a little envelope on the far right side of the screen. But when I click on that, nothing happens.

First you have to click on the Save message, then you recall that and under the Heading 'Subject' you click on the wording and then it will appear !
